It was a completely different experience and reminded us that just because you have visited a location does not mean you should cross it off the list. Visiting in different conditions with different foliage and temperatures may just feel like you are hiking a spot for the first time.
We were able to access areas we couldn't access when the vegetation was overgrown and the ticks were in full blood sucking attack mode. Water was flowing and freezing in areas that had been bone dry in the summer. It was a great reminder to get outside in all 4 seasons and see what each area might offer that you weren't expecting.
